After a week out of the country, when I had little control over some aspects of my diet, I was worried that I might have shown a gain when I finally weighed-in this morning. Instead, I'm down another pound. I feel very positive about this.
I limited my breakfasts to an egg, a banana, a yoghurt, a slice of toast with butter, a glass of orange juice and a cup of herbal tea. My lunches were always a fibre bar or power bar (never more than 200 calories) with water. Suppers were where I had little control. I tried my best to keep those limited (margherita pizza, for example). I seem to have succeeded.
The sight of the sea every morning and evening does something for the psyche, I am convinced, even if you spend your days in an ugly, concrete conference centre.
Airports, on the other hand, are bad for the soul.
