jadenc's Journal, 29 December 2007

Well this is a sad sad day for me but atleast i am here brave enough to admit the truth so i can move on. I became very depressed about alot of life's little (or big) issues and well i let things get the best out of me. So i have lost almost the majority of the loss I've accomplished (lol but managed to stay 5 below what i started!!) So gotta think positive... I'm not quite ready to do the total plunge YET but i am mentally prepping myself for it and will start to be careful what i eat. So all my friends I have here please accept my apologies for the 2 months disappearance, things had not been easy. and i hope i won't disappoint you all with what i've done. I know i've disappointed myself.

and btw what happened to the site???? sure has changed in the past 2 months.

ONE thing that i've decided to change is to have a short term weight loss goal at 240 lbs as oppose to having just the goal at 190 lbs.
283.0 lb Lost so far: 5.0 lb.    Still to go: 43.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.
gaining 3.0 lb a week

It's a lesson and a reminder to all of us of what can happen all too easily. In my own case I've experienced similar gains several times. It's great that you came back here and posted that gain. The "new" site is really great with *lots* of new features (calorie counters, exercise tools, increased interactivity, etc. You can easily reset your target (that's not particularly new but was added a few months ago) so your plan to set shorter term goals should be easy to implement on Fatsecret. Getting started again is the difficult thing, so just pick the time and make up your mind. Welcome back Jadenc!

Jadenc, 2 months disappearance is not bad, better than me. I was away for almost 6 months(although I was in this site from time to time to have a look.) The reason I didn't do anything was beacuse no change of my weight. Jadnec, as you said, think positive is a good way for life. I am also thinking positive not to gain weight is a good thing for me. Let's keep our chin up for our bright future! We can make it! Avoid bad carbos and try to eat good protein foods. Have a happy New Year!

Hang in there. Focus on where you want to be and what you have to do to get there. Don't dwell on the past. I find that journaling on Fatsecret daily is a good way to help me focus. Your call, of course.

Oh yay! Welcome back!! We have missed you!! Shake it off, chin up, it is a new YEAR!!! Let this be the year for your success. I am reading Bob Greene's The Best Life Diet,(christmas present), but the biggest thing he says is how you have to figure out the reason you eat, emotions, anger, boredom, ect...before you can truly succeed. That is why diets don't work, b/c you think losing will make you happy, but you first have to confront your reasons for eating. You may want to check out this book. I am glad you are back though and you can do this!! Lots of amazingly supportive people have joined this site since you left, and of course, lots of the awesome original Fatsecret members!!
