I'm curious if people are following a diet plan or just eating whatever but keeping within their calories? I try to make healthy choices and stay within my 1,300 calories a day.

I eat anything within my daily calorie range. I usually choose healthier options, but also don’t restrict and allow all food groups and “treats” sometimes. I usually try to make choices that fill me up as my RDI is around 1300 as well.

I do the same. Try to choose healthy foods and stay within calorie range. I allow treats within reason. (Piece of pie - ok, whole pie - bad lol). When I find that I am having a hand to mouth day (because no matter how hard I try not to, I have those days occasionally). Then I try to stick to vegetables so I can munch away and not sabotage myself.

Thanks, I thought maybe I was doing something wrong since my weight moves so slow,{like a slug}. I thought maybe I should bring down my calories, but I workout 4 days a week. Today I am so hungry, I want to eat everything.

I’m fairly sedentary and my RDI is 1300 so I’m not sure dropping it would help 🤷♀️ I am not an expert by any means however. There’s some really knowledgeable people on here, I’m interested to hear the feedback you get - one piece of feedback I’ve heard several times is making sure you’re getting sufficient protein. So maybe that’s worth looking at?

I personally just eat within my calorie but stay away from processed foods etc. I walk twice a day as well

I personally target protein and calories only. I aim of 0.8+ grams of protein per lb of bodyweight, and 8-12 calories per lb of bodyweight.
I calculate protein calories first, then top up the remainder with carbs and fats at whatever ratio they land on.
This has been by far the most effective method for me. 😎

I eat what I want, most of the time.. I try to choose healthy meals, but I give myself the freedom to cheat. My goal is to maintain a deficit of 500 calories per day. :)
