My weight has been really standing still the last 2 to 3 weeks. Fluctuating between 78 and 77. Getting a bit discouraged since my maintenance calories seems to be really low.

Thinking of taking a break with my deficit in December to try reverse dieting. How do you guys feel about reverse dieting?
171.3 lb Lost so far: 31.3 lb.    Still to go: 28.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Diet Calendar Entry for 02 November 2022:
279 kcal Activities & Exercise: Samsung Health - 24 hours. more...
losing 0.2 lb a week

During my journey I've been stuck quite a few times. And yes our bodies do need a break from time to time. Taking the entire Dec off might be risky as you can easily undo all your progress over the holidays. I'd recommend doing 1 increased calorie day to boost your metabolism. That just means eating 500 to 700 calories more than your RDI. Back to you RDI the next day. Yes you will probably gain 500g to 1kg but it will get your progress going again. This has worked for me many times.

At the moment I'm doing 5 days a week of eating just above 1200 cals and one day of eating 1900 cals.

What is your RDI then? Keep in mind that the RDI that his app gives is incorrect.

I agree with Mandy In the past that has worked for me as well My current situation unfortunately differs now with my disability making losing weight so difficult So my main focus at first is now to work on a healthier lifestyle, smaller portions and feeling better Will weigh after my first month Weigh ins tend to de motivate me as well if i dont go down Perhaps do what mandy says but also to not force yourself Skip 1 week of weighing yourself Just to focus on your diet for now and boost your self confidence I find not knowing makes me more pro active to stick to my dieet As i am scared really over doing it might push it up to far LOL its a mind thing....Hope it helps But yes i agree with mandy A month might be toooo much and cause allot of damage to your progress Especially over Christmas time
