I've been cleaning out my closets this week to create more space. Can't believe I've still been saving some of the old clothes I used to wear when I was heavier. Probably been holding on to it because most of the clothing is still in very good condition. Time to donate it to someone who really needs it. My weight journey has gone through various cycles. My weight reached its highest level in 2014. Hard to say exactly how much I weighed because I didn't weigh myself at the time, but I'm guessing it was around 205 pounds. When September came around I made a real effort to try to get my weight down to about 185 before my annual physical in January. Imagine my disappointment when I weighed 195. Got down to 185 by July just by cutting out some foods. Then started an exercise program through work and lost another 10 pounds. Six months later (FEB 2016) started a diet program through work and eventually got down to 162. Three or four years ago tried to improve my blood pressure and cholesterol levels by eating more whole grains, more fruit and vegetables, and more fish and got down into the low 140s. Probably could actually stand to gain a few more pounds as some of this loss is due to lack of exercise as I have no longer been going to the fitness center since the pandemic started.
