rebeccajoy's Journal, 16 May 2011

So I am about to go off grid for a couple months. Summer is fast approaching and staff training at camp starts Wednesday!! This is what I live for. And that mean I will now be working from approximately 7am to 10pm. Sunday-Friday, and some Saturdays.

I will be WAY more active at camp than I have been at home, even with exercising, so I'm not too worried about that. Food however will be the challenge to overcome. I will not have the time nor energy to make my own healthy meals. I think I'll be ok for breakfast everyday, I can do oatmeal or cereal and fruit. I will have to do major portion control for lunch and dinner, and not eat dessert at every meal, even though most of the desserts I make are delish. I think I will also have to start doing more healthy snacking. Presently, I usually eat 3 meals and sometimes an afternoon snack. But I know if I do that this summer I will be starving at each meal and thus end up eating an entire pan of yeast rolls or something crazy.

I haven't decided for sure if I am going to keep logging food or not. I will definitely still be weighing in, and maybe use that as my gauge for if I need to try and log food. I have 17 pounds left to lose in 11.5 weeks to get to my goal of 150 by my birthday. It will be hard work during the summer, but I believe I can do it.
167.2 lb Lost so far: 31.0 lb.    Still to go: 17.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

You can do it girl! I think you will be surprised at your will power and motivation during the summer. You'll be extremely active running around after kids and won't have time to worry about food or making bad choices. I think a lot of bad choices come from boredom .. so you'll be surprised at how well you do. Enjoy the summertime and I know you will make your 150 goal - it is so close!!!!!
