I have been on this low carb diet for a month and a half now . It's called The Cruise Control diet . I started off at 224 pounds . I have been around 145 my entire life until about 5 years ago . I started gaining when my husband joined the military and I stopped working due to medical issues . I quickly packed on over 60 pounds in those 5 years . Three of those years I lived in Hawaii had no friends and had a very inactive hermit type lifestyle of playing video games and general laziness . I finally after leaving Hawaii and moving to Washington state and with the help from a friend decided I was tired of being fat and miserably disappointed with myself. I cut most of the carbs from my diet and work out between 3-5 days a week . My husband , my friend and her husband are all doing this together . I have to admit I am the only o ne working out . I am the only one without a job and the apartment complex I live in has a small gym for the residents to use . I was expecting to have lost more by now , even tho everyone says im gaining muscle so it wont show I feel after almost 2 months I should see more results I still cant fit into most of my clothes so I don't feel I am losing much in the way of inches either im going to keep trying though I wont give up .
217.0 lb Lost so far: 7.0 lb.    Still to go: 67.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Hi Jennifer, Have you ever tried the Atkins Plan, you should check it out, it is working for me big time...in one month I have lost 16.8 lbs. I find it very easy to follow...it may help you out, there is also a forum and lots of help there from the Atkins forum mediator......do not give up, you can do it...go on line and search it. Atkins.com Good Luck..
