I have the same experience with logging food. I love candy & have a really hard time avoiding the candy dish here at work, so what I do is allow myself a certain serving each day & log that in in the morning. Right now it's 3 Musketeers Minis. 1 serving of them is 7 pieces so I log my 7 pieces & that's what I allow myself for the day. Some days I eat all 7 & some days I don't, but I never eat more because this is what I have set aside as acceptable. I don't deprive myself but rather set reasonable limits. So far it's working quite well. Since I have a limit I don't mindlessly grab a candy every time I walk past the candy dish.
