It has officially been one month since I've joined this app and I'm happy to say I've made tremendous progress in my weight loss journey. I've lost 15 pounds and I've adapted to a low caloric diet. Doing this whilst balancing work, online classes and the throes of the pandemic have been cumbersome, but the support and encouragement from you guys have motivated me to reach my goals. :D

Here are some of the items I've been struggling with and some failures that I wish to fix moving forward. Any help is greatly appreciated :D
Things I can Improve on -
00) Drinking energy drinks in the night (I stay up late and I end up goPuffing Monster and Starbucks coffee - it's an unhealthy habit that I can't seem to break.)
01) Exercising - despite it all, I have been physically inactive, I'm accustomed to going to the gym and working out, but I'm really scared to do that now. When I try to run outside I tend to suffocate with my mask and the mask causes my glasses to be covered in the fog so I can't see anything which is dangerous. Any tips on how to exercise during the quarantine will be very much appreciated :D
02) Inconsistent sleeping schedules, since I'm working from home and my classes are recorded (optionally synchronous), I feel like I can work whenever I feel like. To that end, I sometimes go to bed at 3 am and get up at noon and then sometimes I go to bed at 9 pm and wake up at 5 am. I think the inconsistent sleep schedule is messing with my cortisol levels and making it harder for me to lose weight. Plus I think is not allowing me to do intermittent fasting :(
03) Reducing my carbs and getting at least 60% of my calories fat. My diet can be found here (Diet link)(Diet link). I essentially eat bananas and apple cider vinegar with honey for breakfast coupled with a Whey protein shake. For lunch and dinner, I typically eat chicken and salad.
My daily average carb intake is around 160g. Any tips on how to do this/what to reduce?

I think these are the major problems that I wish to overcome for now!

Hopefully, I can implement some changes and continue losing weight.
I've also uploaded a picture of my progress so far.
The pic on the left is after and the one on the right is before.

Thanks for reading and I hope you have a great day :D

I think most people don't try to wear the mask while running - you're not really getting that close to anybody at that time, I wouldn't think. Take the mask WITH you, and if somebody comes along, you can always put it on. Also, there is a lot of difference between masks! I got some KN95 masks from Food Lion the other day, which were 10 for $9.99, and they are MUCH better as far as glasses not fogging up. I think it is because they have a stronger metal nose clamp. They are also kind of pointed in the front, which seems to make it easier to breathe.

If you prefer to work out at home, there are several affordable benches and bikes on Amazon. Even if you're going to a gym, it's handy for when you don't have time to go anywhere.

Hi there - I would like to recommend adding intermittent fasting to your schedule. Dr. Jason Fung (YouTube) wrote The Guide to Intermittent Fasting and The Obesity Code. Both very informative. You can watch him on YouTube to get a feel for him. I also like Dr. Rob Cywes (also on YouTube). He has lots of information on keto diets, intermittent fasting, carb addiction, coffee and several other topics. I don't think coffee is bad for you, it's what's in the coffee. If you are loading it up with sugar then that's not good. I am usually hesitant to comment on diet b/c you can get beat up in here, but since you asked, I think you are eating way too much sugar (aka Carbs). I would skip the bananas, honey, and whey protein. Try some eggs, veggies, and meat for breakfast. Looking forward to seeing more posts from you!
