Well, it has officially been a week since I kicked off my diet and I am down a total of 4.5 lbs overall. Pretty good! More importantly I am feeling a lot better and think I look a lot better too. The vows are all strong. No alcohol, no cigarettes, no sweets, and no soda. Six months to go! I think this only one hour of TV a night for a week business is probably gonna give me a run for my money, but it will be worth it I think. Actually I spend considerably more time on the internet than I do watching TV probably anyhow, so maybe it won't be a big deal.

So, to finish with yesterday, I didn't quite get all the chores done I had planned which is no huge surprise since I had a lot on the schedule, but I did, however get a considerable amount of them done. This morning is for finishing up with getting the groceries. I did however get my elliptical put together and worked on my challenge of only watching an hour of TV for the day. I know technically the challenge doesn't start until today, but I didn't see any reason not to start already. I watched an hour of Clash of the Gods during which I also was using my new elliptical for half of it. It works great! Although I was sweating up a storm and tired within only 5 minutes! Oh man! I didn't think I was gonna make it for 30 minutes! I kept at it though.

I stretched really well when I was finished and worked on cooling down for the rest of the hour. I should have warmed up a bit to start with I am sure, too, but next time I will. A few hours after my legs really started to ache and before going to bed my husband was rubbing them because they were really hurting. I was suspecting that I actually needed to stretch my lower back out because when I get leg aches something is out of alignment down there and stretching usually helps, but I didn't do it and fell asleep that way. (I also fell asleep with my contacts in which almost always leads to a migraine.)

I woke up this morning at 5:30 and the pain was really not getting better and I could feel a headache coming on, so I got up took out my contacts, put drops in my eyes, took some ibuprofen, and then lay down on the couch to stretched out my back which I did, it popped into place about three times, and I knew it would be better after that. I went back to bed, but had a hard time getting to sleep again, eventually I did, though, and by the time I finally got up again at 8:30 I felt fine. No more leg pain and no headache! Hooray!

Still more challenges to come though. I am going to a cookout for the holiday today at my parent's lake house, I just hope they have some smart choices for me there. I will try to do the best I can. Perhaps I'll bring something along that is safe to eat. I'll have my full report soon enough!
