Happy Monday morning FS friends,
Grey and raining here by the mighty Niagara River this AM. Have made much progress in the yard and am pleased about that. Weather network says that there will be trace amounts of rain throughout the day, no problem. Saves me watering.
Had a NSV yesterday! We had a corporate event in 2008 where they had given us golf jackets for rainy weather. Mine was a size large (likely mens size) which I never could fit into, so it sat in my closet (it was well made, and I was hoping that maybe someday I'd shrink. Well that day was yesterday. Not only did it zip up, but underneath I had a thermal top, a tshirt and a flannel shirt....bonus? I could move freely with twine, snippers, cell phone and kleenex in the pockets. Super yay!
Am looking forward to going to Goodwill and shopping for some transitional clothing. My closets are emptying as the months pass (donated to Goodwill). Much of what is left are dresses and skirts from my 20s that mom sewed for me and I couldn't bear to part with, or the aspirational jeans (loved Gloria Vanderbilt for fit and durability). I don't fit into them yet, but will in the next year.
The only body part that refuses to yield is that menopausal belly. It is the hold out. Although it has decreased by 12" it is still 11" from what is considered medically healthy. Ah well, at some point it will shrink in the next 54 lbs.
One day, one choice at a time.
