Wow. Had a sandwich (on pretty big bread) for each of the last 2 days, plus had a serving of quinoa yesterday with some gumbo. All of those carbs caught up with me all at once!! Will try to do better today. Was stupid Thurs and bought a loaf of pumpernickel bread which was used for the sandwiches. Will either have to freeze or toss the bread...if it is here I will eat it. Better to toss it. Oh, well, can't be perfect all the time. :(

If you feel like you have to have a sandwich, try making it on muenster cheese. It is firm enough to support your toppings and will give the feeling of eating a sandwich, with only a small carb count. Muenster, ham, soft cheese, mustard, dill pickle slice, topped with muenster. Great!

Thanks, I will! Last night I had a burger from Hardee's - did you know that you can get any sandwich from Hardee's as "low-carb"? When you ask for that, they wrap the stuff in lettuce leaves instead of putting it on a bun. Gotta' love it.

You can also get a burger from Burger King or any "fast food" place and ask for no bun! (Or throw away the bun after you get it). BK brings you a burger and toppings on the side and a knife and fork to eat it.
