I decided to weigh in today simply to compare to one year ago today. Although my weight is up a pound from my last weigh in, I’m very much okay with it because a) I have made peace with the minor fluctuations as long as I’m within my weight window and b) I am down 3 pounds from this day last year, which I think I means I really have achieved maintenance. I have learned how to manage nutrition and exercise but also how to not overly restrict or obsess. My outlook is healthier now than it was a year ago, and that’s as big a success as the weight loss.
