Please do not underestimate diverticulitis! If pain lasts more than a couple days reach out to your Dr for antibiotics or other treatment. I learned the hard way believing I'd been there dealt w/ it enough times that it'd be ok again. Unfortunately my intestine ruptured. I wasn't in extreme pain just normal uncomfortable. Daughter called & then complained to her dad I was saying oh ouch more than normal. They insisted I go to ER but I refused saying I was fine just like always. Few hrs later daughter called back & insisted that I go or she was calling an ambulance to my house. I swore I was fine & in no more pain than other times. I gave up & went to be left alone about it. In <24 hrs I was septic & in emergency surgery. I woke up w/ ostomy bag. 😡 Please take my caution seriously. I really regret thinking I was fine & something I could handle w/out medical care. 🤦‍♀️

Thank you for the cautions, I have had the ER version. For me, it’s been about catching it early enough on to stop eating and let things settle down. Zero fiber, easily digestible foods if i feel like it and lots of water.
