Phew. Yesterday was a lot of over-indulgence. Of course, that's what it was supposed to be.
Yesterday, I did my first spike day. I thought I was gonna enjoy digging into all that delicious food, but fact is that it was unpleasant, unsatisfying and really uncomfortable.
I had planned my day to do all the things I used to do, eat at a pretty bad little buffet (at least, if I eat what I used to eat there), have a bar of chocolate, big meals, frankfurter with my eggs at breakfast etc.
The result? I felt over stuffed, bloated, uncomfortable, had to take rest room breaks constantly and generally was frustrated with all the food I had to eat.
However, I managed to squeeze in a whopping 3800(!) calories, as planned, and I am happy I got it over with. I gotta say, I am not looking forward to next Saturday when I will do it all again. Maybe I need to find something different to eat that I will enjoy more? This is such a weird dilemma, isn't it?
I think that I have simply REALLY changed my habits and tendencies when it comes to eating. I thought I would enjoy going back to my old ways, but I really just hated doing wrong. I think this is a sign that I am really doing well.
Now, I just wait for the result. I was expecting that I would gain massively today. I was expecting it for several reasons:
- The massive amount of calories consumed yesterday. - The higher amount of salt I had yesterday. - A very low weigh-in yesterday morning (which many times happens after I rehearse with my band - I think it's usually just water weight dropping).
However, much to my surprise I weight in today at the exact weight as I did yesterday! Yes! I am still under 100 kgs, even a pound less! I can't believe it, but I'll take that one in a second. Now, I am still prepared that my weight may go up tomorrow or even a day or two after, but then I hope to start seeing some weight loss results again.
I really hope this little trick works. I am longing to be able to announce a new lowest weigh-in to my friends, and longing to get into those size 34 jeans that I bought. They're just sitting there, waiting for me, and laughing at me because I still can't fit them! :)
So, in conclusion: Gorging mission accomplished, not too enjoyable, no weight gain from it (yet), and hopefully it will give me new results.
Life is good!
