Muscle down, blob up a notch, sitting out on the deck being monitored by no fewer than ten hummingbirds, about half of which are young. I must have had a nest this year. I think what did it is that I put up a second feeder and it's spaced just far enough away that my territorial little friends can't guard all the flowers at once. Tons of birds in the yard this morning, nice to have all that song around me. I just counted, I have four different hummers out here right now.
Won't rehash swim since I already entered it. Hips are tight this morning, need to stretch them out. I didn't realize with all the distractions and the cold windy days that I haven't swam much this month and we're halfway through. Will make that up. So the heart rate project is really kinda interesting. I almost want to turn the current up a notch and see where it takes me, but not at the expense of form since I'm really enjoying the swim itself. Don't worry, makes no sense to anyone but me. My larger paddles will be here in June, so I need to work myself up to that extra resistance. I really need to find a 50m pool so I can check my speed and form against reality. needs to be the longer one because I am no longer doing flip turns and that would kill my time in a 25m pool.
Some pics of last night's hummingbird circus. I had to put my hair up because they were dive bombing me at one point and I didn't want them grabbing on. it was nothing personal, there was so much going on, they were everywhere all at once.
yard projects galore today. and a swim. might also go to the fish place. running out of locals only time. yard goals are to have a party for the 4th of July. creating a couple little spots and will add on each year. best way to do a project. goals and milestones.
