I was so relieved to step on the scale for the first time since Thanksgiving and see that I didn't gain. I ate what I wanted, including a roll, dressing and pie, and even drank some wine, but I did not go back for seconds and my serving sizes were moderate to small. I never overstuffed myself, but never felt too hungry. I missed breakfast on Tgiving day and felt pretty rough by dinner time. But now that I'm home again, I'm back on my breakfast schedule. I can see clearly how important that first meal is in keeping my blood sugar and hunger on an even keel.
Mr Coco gained 6 lbs, and I was puzzled as to how that could've happened since it didn't look like he was overeating. It's not the overeating -- it's the overdrinking. He has been through 2 cartons of eggnog by himself the last week. That stuff has 180 cals per half-cup!
