Thanks!! I just had a rough weekend keeping my carbs lower due to the fact I hate wasting delicious, healthy foods... so I over did the baked butternut squash, keto stuffing and green bean casserole... lesson learned, gotta switch things up more often... and make sure I am more strict with portions to make sure my carb count is accurate!

All is good, I have no doubt you will reach your aim. It's bothersome how our bodies react even to good carbs!

I know lots of ppl advise against this but I weigh EVERY DAY, naked, when I first get up after peeing, BC sometimes my lowest weight is the day before or the day after my weekly weigh -in. This, I take the lowest weight of the week as my “new weight.” I don’t beat myself up if it goes up and down, just take the lowest weight during the week.

@rhaztas that is sort of what I was doing, I’d weigh myself morning and night. Naked. But my house has been cold so I haven’t been doing the nude weigh ins as often and I also knew I misbehaved 🙈 but I will try to weigh more. You’re right, the more weights the more of a visual graph I will have if my progress and rhythm. Thanks for the advice!!

This is very long, sorry. I was diagnosed as type 2 diabetic the first week of Jan, 2017. I'm 5ft tall & weighed 177.4 when I found Fatsecret. This morning I weighed 139.4. I had gained a little back at Thanksgiving, but got rid of it within the week. I cut myself some slack & ate pie, stuffing, etc. I think that's being realistic. I've lowered my total cholesterol & A1c to normal range & gone from a women's 1-2X to a 14 petite. I figure out what I'm eating for the day & stick to it. I plan in low carb ice cream & my cocktail (no sugar added) nearly every day because I refuse to feel like I have to give up everything I enjoy. I tell anyone who will listen about Fatsecret. It saved my life. Btw, my doc says I'm the poster child for type 2 diabetes, I take no medication & I'm 70 yrs old. If I can change a lifetime of poor eating, anyone can. Hang in there! You CAN do it!

I am recently diagnosed as diabetic. They have taught me the important of carbs and limiting carbs. I think a no carb meal is a bad idea. You need 45 carbs for your body to burn til the next meal. I think this applies to all not just diabetics. Feel good while you wait for the next Wednesday morning weigh in. Love and peace!

You do have this! We are human and that means we have desires. Get back on the saddle and don't beat yourself up.
