Doing okay. Following the diet closely, but not really losing much. I don't think I'm going to make my Saturday goal. I guess I can give it until Monday, though, since that's technically 2 weeks because I started on a Monday. I'm doing fine, but would like the weight loss to step up a bit. I have been drinking a lot of caffeine free iced tea and using a Stevia supplement with a miniscule amount of glucose in it the last few days (less than a gram), and only having 0.5-1.5 servings a day. I had hoped that was at least better than the one with maltodextrose and 3 grams of carbs per serving. I know from other Stevia supplements I've seen online that there are carb-free ones, though. So, whether it's the tea, the sweetener, or the fact that I'm not getting quite as much water now, I don't know, but I'm going to cut out the tea and the sweetener for the next 3 days or so and see if there's a difference. Better to learn how to deal with a plateau early on, I suppose. Ketostix still reading maximum ketosis.

My body still has weird things going on.. I'm still spotting, and slightly heavier, but not what I'd call a period.

My husband is not following the diet, but has lowered his carbs and is looking a little thinner. He's been reading the book and wants to try Induction, but isn't ready yet. I'm trying not to push him because I know you need to make that decision for yourself. He only needs to lose about 10-15 lbs (180), but could stand to lose another 10 on top of that (170).

Saw my brother last weekend-- he's down -75 lbs. on Weight Watchers!! He actually weighs less than me now (talk about motivation.. ugh)
275.0 lb Lost so far: 9.5 lb.    Still to go: 25.0 lb.    Diet followed 100%.
losing 1.8 lb a week

Weight watchers and Atkins both work! Ive done em all :) Its all about sticking to the game plan! I personally prefer atkins (and so does my hubby..who knew???) My hubby lost 15 pounds in 3 weeks..mostly all in his gut. Keep up the good work! And btw, I dont do induction while pregnant. I cant even do low carb!

Oh good! I was just concerned when I saw your weight loss history.. said you were doing induction. :) I'm trying to get pregnant now and hoping to follow lifetime maintenance (basically just going to try and eat healthy and limit my bad carbs but not limit my carbs, I just don't want to fall into the refined sugar pit I sometimes do when going off of a diet.. my first pregnancy the only thing that made me feel better was slush puppies. ;) I did WW years ago and did well, but I had a lot less weight to lose then and I just don't think I could handle the cravings I had on it now. I find I prefer Atkins and, given my metabolic imbalance, it's the better choice for me. I've been doing a lot of reading on PCOS and insulin resistance and apparently they think men who bald prematurely (like my husband) and have family members with PCOS may have the male equivalent. All of his weight is in his gut, and he's said no matter how much weight he loses the gut never disappears, but I'm thinking with Atkins he can finally get rid of it. Thanks!
