Did well this weekend. I did eat five pieces of popcorn at the movies, but it didn't screw up my ketosis. I am hoping to get down to 270 even by Saturday. I think I can do that-- I've already done 7.5 in one week; I can do 5.5 in 5 days. I know my first big goal is 250 by then end of summer, but I'm really hoping I can do it by my husband's birthday in mid-July. That's only about 2 1/4 lbs. a week. I just need to keep reminding myself that as long as I stay on the diet it'll work-- it's when I fall off that it's stops working. The diet doesn't fail; I do.

Weird stuff happening down below. I thought I might be ovulating about 7 days ago. I've been spotting for about the last three days.. not super heavy, but heavier than I would expect from implantation bleeding. I read that some women with PCOS started getting 'periods' again on a low-carb diet, but don't always ovulate. I know some women have anovulatory periods, but I never had-- if I don't ovulate I don't get a 'period' until I induce one. Anyway, so
I probably haven't ovulated, but I think even an anovulatory period is promising, seems to me that means my hormones are changing.
I kind of hope it is an anovulatory period-- if it's an ovulatory period and I was ovulating when I thought I might be, then I have a super-short luteal phase, which would not be good. The other possibility is that after I quit soda 2 weeks ago even that drop in sugar and carb intake as drastic enough to induce ovulation. Oh well, either way I find the spotting promising. *crossing fingers* that I'll get a period, ovulatory or not(I'll never know), and then ovulate soon. Interestingly I was reading lately that a uterine lining of 35+ days may not be healthy enough for an embryo to implant, but I hadn't had a period in 4 mo. when I got pregnant the last time. I haven't induce a 'period' in 2 mo., so I was going to induce anyway if I didn't get one soon; hoping I won't have to.

Still feeling really great. I started drinking decaffeinated tea this weekend and am a little worried I'm not getting as much water now, though. I picked up some Stevia sweetner today and it's okay.. I'm wondering if it's worth trying another brand to see if it's better. Unfortunately it still has that weird, bitter, 'I'm not real sugar' taste. I tastes kind of like Equal but not as chemically. I kind of wish I'd gotten some Splenda too-- I really liked just a touch of it in my tea at the restaurant the other night. I usually don't like Splenda, though, and think it's a bit the devil. I'm hoping the Stevia will taste better in my home-brewed tea rather than the bottled Lipton I had at lunch. A girl in my class at school today had cookies for her birthday, and I so wanted one, but stayed good. I thought for a split second about 'just having one' and then in the next second, though 'no way in hell I'm cheating for a freaking cookie. I don't plan on cheating soon, but I know eventually I'll want a treat and it's sure as hell going to be something amazing, not a POS grocery store cookie!
