LOL..that is awesome..you can see in soo many ways that your losing..my first thing was how skinny my hands were...my knuckles look soo big now..:O)
|
LOL - yeah, it took me by surprise. I don't remember this before. I will NEVER have skinny hands ~ I have short but very sausage like fingers at any weight. They look odd against my bear like 'palm' (paw) - like someone took me out of the oven too soon. They defy the logic that I type / 10key like a bandit and play piano but I do. Arthritis makes it hard to reach a full octave more than a couple of times now :-) ahh.. the golden years ...

You know, it was weird to recognize it. Now I just need to find a place with a mirror so I can watch myself walk to verify that's really the case. In my world of 'nothing ever works right on me' I'm wondering if my legs are bowing, LOL. Just like the collar bone thing Bren mentioned - I've had that since about 50lbs lost and thought 'wowza' because it seemed to not appear this soon in the past when I have lost weight but then I had to acknowledge 'well, duh, Bella.. GRAVITY has just forced the rest of 'you' south faster so sure your gonna start seeing changes from the 'top down' sooner. Ahh.. aging ... such fun to adjust :-)

Wow! That is fantastic! I can't recommend going as far as I did - I started thinking I could wear heels and now my knee is requiring daily ibuprofen. I got too cocky....

Ouch - that's too bad. I do wear heels now and then but not daily like I used to but despite everything else 'wrong' with my body I spent so many years on high heels (because I'm short) that they are still second nature. However - I'm talking about 3" heels - not those 6" platforms in fashion right now.

I can wear up to a 3" heel all day long myself, some 4" ones, depending on the style and whether it fits my foot well to begin with...but that's as high as it goes, and I DO NOT do platforms. Floppy ankles.

I remember when that happened to me as clear as it was yesterday. I gained over 100 pounds with my second daughter and one day I was showering and though, hey somethings off. Holy !@#$ my thighs aren't rubbing together! It's an awesome feeling.....Congrats!!

My thighs still touch. I have big ol turkey drumstick thighs though. I wonder if they will ever not touch. I did find I have dimples though! I've got 2. One on each cheek. On my face.. Well I have some on my butt too but I've always had those. They're fading though.

It's odd... I remember when I was an overweight teenager my pants always wore out in the thighs from that; I remember sewing and ironing patches into the thighs of my pants and jeans so that I wouldn't have to buy new ones. I haven't done that in 30 years. Of all things that are made with planned obsolecense did clothing get better or have I just replaced them faster?? I have been going up and down this scale give or take 120-150lbs for the past 40 years ... it usually takes me about 16-18 months to lose the weight; about six months of torture trying to keep it off then the same amount of time to put it back on as it took to lose it. Then about 5-6 years of delusional compromised rationalization where I claim 'what does it matter... we're all gonna die anyway' and then.. something clicks again and off I go.. eating healthy and the side effect is weight loss. In the past I said 'never again' ... all FOUR times. I wake each day and fall asleep each night praying this one will last as I don't imagine I'll have the strength to do this again in my 60's.

I still get wear marks on my jeans. It's usually my favorite pair that I wear forever and a day that get downgraded to barn pants when they get a stain so I can still wear them. And this will be the last time. You have us, knowledge, and if you start to slip let me know and I'll come chuck carrots at your head.
