So, I started this journey at 280 pounds last year in January 2012....and in between moving out, selling our home, building a new home, losing my Mother In Law to ALS, living in a camper for 35 days and eating out almost every day, moving to a new town and knowing no one, I had gotten down to 245 in September 2012. I felt GREAT! But when we moved into our new house, I stopped going to the Rec Center, and then it was Thanksgiving, then Christmas, New Years, my Birthday and I gained back some weight. I started Atkins on Feb. 25th, at 263 pounds. A little depressed that I'd gained back so much in just a few months, but determined. I've lost 4 pounds in 3 days, and feel better already. The carbs were weighing me down and making me sluggish and irritable and blah. I feel better already. The 2nd day was hard, I felt icky and shakey and bad. I did go over my carb allowance that day, and have too low of protein, but it was because of veggies and cheese. I do not beat myself up for that, only move forward.
