What was I thinking? Once again, when I didn't eat enough protein I became drowsy and unable to work or think. I'd been sitting at my desk all day, drinking coffee, unable to become alert. After lunch I took a nap. That didn't help, so I just ate some sardines and am feeling a little clearer. On top of that, I've been eating soy, and my hands have been swelling.

I also struggle with getting enough protein in my diet. When I first began and i was detoxing from all the sugar and everything, I was exhausted and irrtiable to the extreme. The 3:00 afternoon crash turned into a 12:00 crash, and I literally passed out on the couch as soon as I'd get home. I've taken to keeping protein bars and beef jerky at my desk at work to snack on and I try to make sure to have some form of protein with Breakfast and Lunch.

Yes - the protein is SO important. I learned it the hard way, too. Make sure to eat proetein at every mea - especially breakfast. Also drink tons of water. Dehydration cause mental confusion and fatigue.

Thanks for the advice. I'll try to get some protein at every meal and to drink a lot of water.
