This site was recommended to me by the most physically fit person I have ever seen in my life! She exudes good health and a really healthy relationship with her body both in what she eats and how she exercises.
I have never minded being fat (well, not since middle school when, ironically, I wasn't actually fat...) and don't think of it as a scary word or a judgment. That is why I like the title of this site. It kind of de-mythologizes the word.
I just don't want to have to get knee replacements at 50, I don't want to worry about heart disease, I want to be able to get along on my own in my own healthy body. I see large women walking with two canes or a walker because of their heft or hear the breathing of the guy in the library who can't get from his computer to the reference desk without breaking a sweat, and I don't want to be there!
I have got to start making more adult decisions regarding food. So here I go...
