What a week! Christmas Parties, a night out with friends, painting, packing boxes for the movers, and a work out here or there... that's what my week has been all about. It's actually kinda a blur. On Friday night I ate too much, drank too much, and played too hard. I paid the price on Saturday, ultimately trying to eat food just to find comfort from the dizzy, groggy hangover. It took a bit of will power, but I've buckled back down and ate reasonably well on Sunday and Monday... the results are in - another loss! I think that the manual labor mixed in with bad eating is saving my bacon. Funny expression!

My running career seems to have stalled a bit. A weekend ago I was suffering from that flu/stomach bug that zapped my energy for 4-5 days. Then this weekend I played so hard that the thought of running made my head hurt. I haven't ran in 4 days, but I plan to hit the gym today. Last Friday I was struggling with treadmill boredom and could only punch out a mile. But I finished my workout with lunges, squats and pushups which I felt in every movement throughout the weekend. I really need to find a way to cross train. I've never been an athlete, nor a regular workout kind of gal. My running career has been successful because I don't have to go to the gym. I think I'll research home workouts that don't require travel to get a good 30 minutes of training.

I'm sure that I've rambled long enough! I'll check in later this week to share the woes of moving!
