Maintenance Day 7 Waist = 33 7/8"
Pulled the plug on my "Mini-Cut" about a week back. Attitude/productivity/feels had deteriorated to shit and hunger was increasingly difficult to manage. Experimented with some different tactics to mitigate, and in the end decided that the wisest choice would be a diet break. All the pros say this, so of course, I have always done the opposite - double down, man up and power thru... Fine to a point, but this is not my first rodeo. I know my body well enough to know when a binge is coming. After my record 2018 cut, I rebounded 19# in 11 days. Took the better part of a month to recover. Not looking for a repeat. Had some negative stuff Father's Day weekend that made a break an easier choice than it might have been.
Soooo whither Jimmie? I have never made a mindful, consistent maintenance. I have just become proficient at getting in shape for Summer, and not going completely ape shit over the Winter. Never rebounded to my shit show 2015 worst. Got a little better at Spring Recomp every year. With the plague and a nearly two year lay-off, that was a bit more daunting than usual this year. And it def gets harder with age. So "maintenance" it is....
Posting "Cut Wrap-Up" and "Maintenance Plan" anon for accountability.
Appreciate all your positive vibes, heroics, success stories and support. Thank you!
Have a terrific weekend.
