Day 1 AGAIN..
I am a cheater. Why do I sabotage my diet so easily? My sz 4 pants which were loose on me 3 weeks ago are snug on me today! Why? Because I am a cheater and a loser...or I WAS a loser til I fell off atkins AGAIN.
I forgive myself for cheating, but I need a game plan for when this happens again. Im either going to begin taking supplements to curb cravings OR when I want to binge on carbs, Ill make mock desserts and eat them til my craving passes...that, at least, is better than diving into a bag of sugar!

Cabbage 2 cups
bacon 4 strips
cream 1.5 ozs
splenda 2 pkt
spinich 1 cup
dressing 1 tbsp

Here we go again!

Try the sugarless candies - they don't give you much in a bag - but only eat a few as they can have an EXTREME laxative effect if overeaten... or try Atkins bars once in a while too. It's Superbowl night here in Massachusetts and my friends are ordering pizza! Oh no! I haven't cheated since Christmas Eve - maybe I'll just pass on it - hope I do well not having pizza!! :) P.S. I have Hood calorie countdown milk - the carbs are a bit high for the chocolate - 12gm for two cups once you're off induction - the plain tastes - well plain and chalky, but the chocolate mixed 2 parts to one part coffee cold is an awesome cold drink that is low carb - think I'll put it in the diet menu - it gets me over the chocolate craving and sweet cravings too - Good luck you can do it remember how good you felt thinner that's what I'm remembering now as I lose the weight since I feel much better thinner than carrying an extra 55 plus pounds around!!! :)

Honey, diets just don't work! You need to commit to a healthy eating plan for life and not just for the short term. All of that going up and down eventually makes it very hard to lose anything at all. You need to follow the plan through all four phases and stick with it for life. Once you are in maintenance you can have the occasional splurge on something off plan (if you don't have food addictions that cause bingeing). I think if you adjust your attitude towards your diet (by that I mean way of eating) that you will be able to stay strong and stick to the plan. Yes, it can be very hard, but each day that you are successful makes the next that much easier. You CAN do this.

Awwww! I love each one of you! My attitude and my psyche change so much when my cravings soar! I LOVE PBJs. I could eat 4 of em in a row. THAT is my problem. Its not quite that I dont see this as a WOL, b/c I DO. Its those hormonal/emotional pitfalls that get me right around day 11-12 of induction. Is there anything special about those days? I may have to buy the bars too....I GUESS Id rather binge on high cal/low carb foods than sugar. Thank you again for all the support! I respect each one of you for sticking to it and succeeding!

I like your new pic too! I think supplements will help your stress control. Until you can control that, it doesn't matter how much willpower you have because your body will crave all the wrong things during stress. You WILL take control.

If stress is a big issue for you I would recommend that you take a yoga class (or get a good DVD you can do at home). Yoga is a good work out but it also teaches you how to relax and a little bit about meditation. These are excellent tools in helping to deal with stress. Coping works much better than waiting for circumstances to change. Sometimes when we can cope with things that helps us to bring about change faster.
