I'm back baby! The wildfires got close but my neighborhood was spared. It turned out that we didn't have to go to a shelter but we did get just about the last hotel room in town. Long story short: last night around 8pm they lifted the mandatory evacuation order from our neighborhood so we went back to see how our apartment held up. Thankfully, other than a rancid half-eaten salad that I dropped in the sink before we ran out the door, everything was fine.
Unfortunately, my bathroom scale survived (I was kinda hoping it wouldn't lol), and I had gained six pounds in two days (water weight from the carbs of course). SO bearing that in mind it is time to get back on track.
