Last night I tried yoga for the first time! It was an instructor-led class called "All-Levels Flow" and was an hour and fifteen minutes long. The "All-Levels" bit should have tipped me off to the fact that it was NOT a good class for beginners. It was really difficult and I couldn't do most of the poses, but I enjoyed it and can see myself really getting into it if I find a better introduction course. Fortunately this place offers about 12 different types of yoga classes, so I'm going to try "Yoga 101" for starters.

I'm such a high-stress individual (100% Type A personality, that's for sure) and I feel like yoga and meditation might help me get a better handle on my mental health. Which is really important, because you can't have complete physical health without mental health! It's going to be a struggle because I don't really know how to relax or quiet my mind, I'm the type of person who will sit on the mat and close my eyes and look relaxed, but really I'm thinking "let's-sit-here-and-plan-out-our-week-and-make-mental-food-shopping-lists-and-worry-about-our-financial-situation-and-oh-crap-I-forgot-to-run-the-dishwasher-and-think-of-all-the-other-crap-I-have-to-do."

Not very zen-like, that's for sure.

Haha! Yoga sounds awesome for you! I've wanted to try it, but I haven't been to the Gold's Gym yet that offers classes. If you enjoy it, let me know! Ive always wanted that long-lean yoga body :) Good luck!
