So my 4 day liquid-only fast ends today. I plan to do it again next week. So far, here are my thoughts... 1) I'm not hungry. This is the number one reason I like the fast. Normally I am always hungry so it is a constant battle to not eat right now or to only eat the correct portion. After the first day, the hunger goes away. Only returns when I start eating solid food again. 2) I have gone 4 days of not being able to eat emotionally. Well, ok I did have hot chocolate 2 nights and that gave me a sugar hit and it was delicious, but it was no where as satisfying as a hamburger and fries. No being able to chew my calories takes most of the enjoyment out of eating. So instead of turning to food to relive stress, I have to just face it, and accept it (all I could ever do anyway).
