Okay Woman to Women--what the hell is up with my period?

My period ended more than a week ago and then yesterday + today I've had a little bleeding. I know it must have to do with exercising for the first time in a LONG time (and my diet change), but I can't find anything online to confirm that. All I can find online is that when women start a heavy exercise regime they may stop having a period (which I already knew). Any of you have the same thing going on?

I have "breakthrough bleeding", as my doctor once called it, on occasion. I am 43 so my issues are definitely hormone related. Perhaps yours are, too, especially if you are on the Pill. If it is very light and doesn't persist for more than a few days, I wouldn't be overly concerned about it at this point. Pay attention to your body and mark on the calendar when these events occur so you can have an accurate account should you need to tell your doctor in the future. I wouldn't worry over it. Our bodies have lots of "malfunctions" throughout life that don't require medical attention!

When was your last pap? Get checked for dysplasia if it has been awhile!

Ennnh it has been a while. That's pretty scary. I'll wait a day or two and see if it goes away and if not I'll go see a doctor.

I want you to go to the dr. soon. You are at the age where girls get cervical cancer or the precancerous cells on the cervix. I had this type of cancer at 25 and by 30 it had spread to my uterus....SO no excuses Make a pap smear appointment now!
