LaraStar's Journal, 20 June 2012

Hello everybody, I'm back! I had a wonderful time out. We went travelling mainly around South East Asia which is a beautiful part of the world. I just love the beaches, cities, the people and the food. Malaysia was a bit tough on the stomach, especially as there is no concept of vegetarianism and my choices were very limited . It put me off eating for a while but my appetite has come back with a vengance!
After not having much input for 7 weeks, I enjoy being in control of my food choices again. Bring on the soups and salads!
Weight wise I have been up and down, back to my pre trip weight now.

Overall it has been fantastic and I feel relaxed and refreshed, ready to take on life's challenges.

So buddies, what's new with you? How are you finding your new lifestyles?

Hey, nice to see you back. Hope you had a nice restful vacation. We are planning a trip to Thailand and Malaysia and I am worried about food as well as we are all vegeterians. Hopefully, we will book a group tour which takes care of food and lodging so it shouldnt be much hassle. It is great to see that you havent put on any weight from the trip. I have been swinging in the same 3-4 kg zone since October and I must admit even maintaining is not easy. I admire those who can lose weight consistently

Yeah.... Welcome back.. You sound like you had a great time and WELL DONE on maintaining that weight - what an achievement. Although I guess, not having much choice has been a big factor in that.

Thanks buddies. Ruchi...food was very tricky in Malaysia. It's easy if you stick to Indian restaurants but everything else has usually fish, shrimp or chicken (also as broth) in it. In some places the chef came out of the kitchen and asked what I can eat and I ended up with omelette lots of times. Thailand is much easier, they understand what vegetarian means. Both beautiful countries, you'll have a great time.
