alllicat's Journal, 07 April 2010

Well, happy hump day! Sorry I have been MIA, but with not being at work, it's hard for me to be able to sit down for an extended period of time and write out a journal entry. Things have been going, decently. I would say.

Friday was good, I didn't eat much of anything. It was Good Friday, so no meat, so my dad took the whole family (and Joe!) out to dinner to an Italian restaurant. I hadn't eaten much that day, so I figured I would splurge a bit. They had Lasagna and Shrimp with Vodka Sauce. Which though I probably gained weight just looking at the name on the menu, I ordered it anyway.

It came to the table, fried shrimp and meat lasagna. I was so upset. At least the girl was super accomodating, and brought me something in exchange, I just got regular Penne with Vodka sauce, with plain grilled shrimp. Everyone was pretty much finished eating by the time I got mine that I barely ate half of it. I got a terrible stomachache as soon as I was finished eating, then I posted my cryptic journal entry on the 2nd. Luckily, my friend felt like going out for a walk, so I walked for about an hour and 15 minutes, which felt like a god send.

Saturday, I woke up and went to yoga, which I seriously love doing. I could never wake up at like 5am to go work out (kudos to those who do, though!) 8:30 is good enough for me. I'm taking a Warm (85-90 degrees) Flow Yoga class. It's a lot of stretching, which is really good. Joe and I painted the apartment a bit on Saturday, well, we finished up painting our eating area, foyer, and TV room. A couple of friends came over at night, I had two beers, but once again, didn't eat too much during the day.

Sunday was Easter, and TOM decided to join the festivities. Fun times! I felt like eating everything I set my eyes on. I didn't though. I made a delicious Berry Pie for dessert, which came out to be like 78 calories a piece (thank you Hungry Girl!). Otherwise, I wasn't too terrible.

I went to yoga on Monday night, and I had a great workout, and I walked on Tuesday. So I had a pound loss since Friday, which is promising. I'm trying to keep up a 2lb per week loss. I am ahead of my current goals. But I'm not taking that for granted. I'm looking at it as extra padding in case I stall out or hit a plateau. I refuse to take anything for granted about this process. I'm going to continue to work out almost everyday, or as much as my body allows me. I have goals people! I'm not trying to rush this, but I have alot going on! I'm going on vacation to some exotic locale in the Carribbean. Joe and I are going to visit his mother in Florida. And I just added a road trip to Oklahoma to my list of trips this year.

I am feeling good about the loss, because I do still have TOM visiting. We'll see what happens when he leaves. I'm expecting a bit of a drop. I'm really starting to gain a lot of confidence in myself. I know that the outside shouldn't matter as much as the inside, but just knowing that I'm starting to look better is giving me more confidence in myself. I honestly cannot remember the last time I weighed this much (little?). And I feel good about myself. I'm just about halfway to my goal, and I feel amazing. I love to go shopping now, which makes me happy because I no longer have to limit myself to shirts that will hide my bulging stomach. I am wearing pants in single digit sizes. I am all around happier.

Hope everyone is having a good week!
