FLOWERDUDE's Journal, 11 June 2012

I refuse to go back into the numbness of being overweight.
I have come too far to go back.
Buying supplies tonight to do a two week induction.

Yes I have walked...worked out... yes.. .some of this is muscle.
It is quite frustrating that once I actually became regularly physically active that the rate of my weight loss took a nose dive.
However.. I am not going to give either up.
Walking and weights tonight.. .as usual.
Working on getting my water back up..
and will run a clean Phase one for two weeks to get me back on track.. as soon as possible. End of week or next.

As far as what the issue is .. I have been much more social.. .drinking.. eating off program.. and life (biz issues, kids moving/graduating)
Now back to me. :)

Flowerdude is coming back to the fold.
Shake your fingers at me.. I deserve it. :p

Have to look at it as a life change...which it has been for you....not a diet that you go on and then back to your old ways. Get "Why We Get Fat, and How to Lose It" by Gary Taubes from the library or bookstore. All the science of how you gained the weight, and why this is a new way of eating for here on out. Tremendous motivation for me.

Hi Steve, love the journal entry. No condemnation here, been there done that and will likely do it again. Its a heady feeling, having lost so much weight, you feel invincible, a taste of this a sip of that, sure no worries, I can handle it and then BOOM - what do you mean I gained ??? lb? WTF? So good for you for coming back and saying you are re-committing. Goodness knows it isn't easy but we are all behind you (admiring the view, wink wink) I agree, no more numbness. Life is painful at times but its also painful behind that numbness too. Big hugs my studly Dudley. Proud of you. Hugs.

I was the same as you, I've been back a week now and feel soooo much better. Yes go shopping buy good basics, eat plenty of fat and protein the first few days to rid yourself of those cravings, you know the drill! Congratulations on starting again:)
