MJ's mom's Journal, 22 January 2008

Well Im over half way to my goal weight! I cant believe it! Im so excited to go shopping once Im there. I rarely get out so I havent seen alot of my friends for awhile and I love all the positive feed back. Its so nice to hear "You look great!". It helps keep me motivated to keep this up. I finally got the new diet plan. Its not as bad as I thought it would be. They did cut the meat portions and changed the carb cravers. Im a little sad about that even though I never used them much. Also they want to find a light cheese that is less the 3 grams of fat per ounce. I dont know where in the world I would find a cheese like that?????? I really like the Kraft Cracker barrel light cheese. I think Ill just eat a 1/2 serving instead so instead of 2oz Ill eat one since its 6grams of fat per serving. Also they took me of the breastfeeding diet, eventhough Im nursing my 8 month old. They said they just have a diet for exclusively nursing and not for a baby that breastfeeds and eats solids. Im ok with change. Its strange though because Im getting an extra fat but lost 2fruit, 1veggie and 1starch. Ow well. I think Ill do fine anyways cause I usually had a starch and a veggie or fruit left over for the last little while. :) Anyways hope everyones doing well and if anyone has an idea about a cheese that is less then 3grams of fat per 1oz that still taste like cheese Id love to know!

Hey MJ!Congrats on the 1/2 way point!!! I've tried the 75% light cabot cheese...but honestly.. it didn't taste that great. I'm not sure what the 50% light cabot cheese is as far as fat grams/oz... but it taste very good. Check it out. Keep up the great work! I love hearing comments too about how much I've changed... feels really nice. My goal for 2008 is get healthy and get pregnant!!!

Wow that is awesome.....I am a third to my goal weight. At this rate it will take me another two years, but hey that is ok. It took me many years to get this way. I already feel so much better and yes compliments feel nice too. Keep it going!!!

Compliments do keep you motivated and shopping for new clothes does wonders as well!! Congratulations and Keep up the good work. I haven't tried it yet but I am wondering about the Laughing Cow cheese. I haven't checked it out but was going to when I go grocery shopping tonight.

Thanks for all the encouragment everyone! I love how positive this site is! Also thanks for all the cheese suggestions. Im going to try some out. love4life- Well they gave me 2 1/2 protien, 3 veggie, 2 fruit, 3 startch 2 dairy and 2 fat (which I only had 1 fat before so I dont really get that). Its still lots of food I think. Its strange because I hardley ever ate the fat before cause I really didnt know how to incorporate it and now im suppose to eat 2. So I guess I might try buying some almonds or somethings....I do use one fat for peanut butter because they've changed that around to.
