Well I was doing good till my daughter and her husband came home. Not that I'm blaming them. It's my fault because I was sitting at the table talking with them and in front of me is a cookie jar where I had put some candy ,Hersheys minis,. I ate one serving, but that put me over my calorie count. Then later in the evening I started to get a little hungry so I went to the kitchen and ate the last of the spaghetti which was about 1 1/2 servings, plus I put olives in it, siracha, & you may not think this is good but I like it like a pasta salad, mayo. I should have drank a big glass of water to fill me up. Like Marsha said the other day I think... You live and learn. I know better but I'm sure you all know how sometimes it does seem like certain food calls to you.

Hi Gardenia - yeah chips are usually my downfall. Well, live and learn, right? Try to have some lower calorie options on-hand if you feel you must have a snack. Drinking water is a good idea. You said you were "a little hungry" not starving, so maybe next time you can remember all the reasons you are trying to lose weight and try to overcome the urge! Good luck!!

Everyone has their moments-life isn't about "dieting", life is about "living". All in moderation. We have learned if we eat the carbs today-we have to put in more tomorrow. Keep your head up! Don't beat yourself up! Today is a new day!

Thanks draglist for your encouragement too. I have been on quite a few diets myself throughout my life. Some were fad diets. The one I liked the best was Weight Watchers. I got down to my goal weight with that. I lost 30 lbs. Of course since then I haven't tried very hard at sticking with any diet. That was in the 70's. I'm trying to take it one meal at a time.
