sadvic's Journal, 27 March 2010

I really need to take stock in exactly what I'm doing on this diet. I feel like I'm following it but yet not seeing much weight loss. Weighed myself this morning but won't record today (will hope tomorrow morning shows a better number) as I'm up 2 lbs from last week's weight. Just doesn't seem right ... but then again, I need to really examine what I'm doing wrong. First of all, I know I can eat LESS. I know I need to consume more veggies (green, leafy variety). I know I need to exercise! I need to stop relying on the atkin bars daily (I've heard other say that those will slow them down). I need to be more on top of my water intake. There's work to be done and if I'm going to start seeing any REAL results, I need to pay better attention and do things right. Here's hoping tomorrow's weigh-in looks acceptable.

Don't dispare - the diet does work, but like you said, you need to do all those things or you arnt really doing the diet. I've been on since September and I'm down 66lbs and I'm not a gym rat by any means. Water is key and try eating breakfast like a queen, lunch like a princess and dinner like a pauper (biggest meal first and work down) that works for me. Also prepare food ahead of time - like a casserole - and your good for the week. Atkins isn't necessarily about calories at first, it's about changing what you body uses for fuel (fat, not carbs). I find the more I eat, the more I loose (seriously). And loose the atkins bars, they are no good for you. Good luck!

Sadvic, those bars can be making you not lose. If you dont see an improvement, try cutting them out all together and see if it helps. I can't tell you how many people I have heard state the Atkins bars and cheese have doe the same exact thing. If you'd like, I could go over your food log to see if anything stands out. Just shot me a message and I will do what I can. Secondly, could TOM be coming?

I have been bad about keeping my food log up-to-date ... but do have 2 atkins each day. I have also been having a fair share of cheese. I find these things give me immediate satisfaction which is keeping me from cheating. BUT, I'm willing to give it a try. I have a few more Atkin things in my house and once these are devoured, will resist buying anymore (not to mention, they are expensive!). Am traveling a bit over Easter holiday so will continue to use what I've got left to get me through that temptation ... and when I return will so how having none helps. Thanks for the advice!

Hang in there sadvic - the weight will probably start coming off when you adjust things a bit. I've also heard a lot of people say the bars caused them to stall.
