I just replenished my prescription for my high blood pressure pills, so when I go on my biking vacation with my brother I'll have enough. Normally they come in packets of 30 and this time around they came in 28. That's two less then I normally get. The prospect of having two less kind of freaked me out. One, because I'll have to go back to the Dr's to get more earlier than I thought I would have, and two, getting an appointment within 5 months at the Dr's is like trying to find the last unicorn.
And then it hit me. I don't want to be on high blood pressure medication anymore. Just in case you were unable to read that last sentence I DON'T WANT TO BE ON HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE MEDICATION ANYMORE.
So, I thought about what I did want. And then I thought about how I am going to accomplish that and then when the husband/boyfriend/dude came home from work I sat him down and we had a "talk" about what I wanted and how he was going to help me get there. (he wants to lose some weight too)
I'm setting a goal (I love that I have something concrete) of 50 pounds in 5 months (which is when my prescription will be finished) but I'm not going to beat myself up if it's 8 pounds a month and not the 10. I'll take it were I can get it, thank you very much.
We've decided that TOGETHER we are going to: 1. walking (again) at 5am for an hour 2. walk/bike after dinner for an hour 3. I am going to go to aerobics classes (4 times a week)
So, with that said... What are you doing to make sure you reach your goals and what are you goals.
