Quit smoking last Friday. Since then the diet has been down hill. I am always hungry and constantly munching. I'm hoping that the negative effects of quitting dissipate soon so I can get back on track. I am hoping that by Monday I will not need to replace the cigarettes with food anymore. I am going to go buy some hard candies and keep them at my desk and suck on those instead of eating.

Whenever you have a craving - you could try going for a walk, getting a drink of water, chewing some gum or a mint (this makes food taste bad too!). And keep veggies chopped up and handy. So when you need to munch you can eat 4 cucumbers if you want and it won't kill your calorie count for the day.

Oh, and get back to logging EVERYTHING on here. If it goes in your mouth, it goes on the log first! Then you think twice about eating something if you have to put it down. But you have to get sort of anal about it for it to work. Nobody really looks at your food diary anyway, so don't feel self conscious about what other people might think about what you eat. They only look if you are asking for help. :)_
