i'm unsure right now...i feel really hungry and like i'm eating a LOT. i don't really know if i am. i guess i should be writing down what i'm eating. I could weigh myself to see, but i'm afraid too. darn stupid scale! I just find myself taking nibbles off my kids plates...sneaking chocolate chips :S eeks!!! whats going on! i was soooo in control. I have had a couple weekends where i have indulged more, and i think it IS having an effect. that my body is craving these things. yeesh...this really is a never ending battle.

FWIW: I'm not sure but I haven't touched sugar or chocolate since I started the SBD. I suspect that if one stays on Phase 1 long enough, the cravings disappear; but, I suppose this varies greatly on the person. At present, I'm rather afraid of chocolate and sweets of any kind and am avoiding them like the plague. Instead, I'm eating fresh fruits of any kind and they are tasting sweeter than ever. I really feel no craving for the sweets anymore. Of course, if I start thinking about them, I can feel something going on inside. ;-) I think you are right jessicka, it is a never ending battle.

I know how you feel. I had gotten to the point where I never even remotely craved sweets and just stayed away from them, but a few little indulgences here and there slowly got out of hand and then it became a couple bowls of ice cream every week for about two weeks and now I have found that going back to phase 1 I am having just as hard of a time avoiding sweets as I was the first time around! Perhaps you should go a week or so without any sweets at all to get rid of the cravings again?

Writing down what you eat for a few days is a really good idea. When I first started SBD I wrote down everything, then went through with a highlighter at the end of the day and marked everything that wasn't on the diet. It helped me to see how much cheating I was doing, and to reduce it.
