Meet my new bike, it's going to help me get a little fitter and stronger so it says... For the other bikers out there; it's a nicely kept, but used Cervelo R3...17.0 pounds, "only" 29 pounds lighter than my old steel mountain bike and 10 pounds lighter than our two Specialized hybrids. Nice ride, very nice on the hills!!

Thnx Mom...really looking forward to getting on it and comparing to the hybrids..., this might be the last bike I buy ever, my mountain bike turned 20 years old this year and is still going strong.

I've said this before, but I'll say it again; "For weight (fat) loss, your best diet is one that allows you to "as healthily as possible", and "as easily as possible" reduce your calorie intake per day, week and month and also is one that you find is sustainable to work towards your weight loss goals. Whether LCHF, Atkins, Paleo, Intermittent Fasting, Balanced, IIFYM (If It Fits Your Macros) South Beach, etc, etc...it really only matters that it works for you the individual and fits your lifestyle."

Awe Thnx HCB and WBH!! ! WBH, I took your advice and got a nice bike that fits my riding...just got back from my first test ride, 28:06 over 8.76 miles (1.5 miles loose gravel and very slow going, lol) for a 18.7 mph average even with the gravel...the bike sings on pavement...I haven't hit any big hills yet, but it handles small rollers really well...I think I'm in "good hands".... :)

Ya Ches, it is a ton of fun and for me I can't run much (no meniscus in right knee) so these kinfd of activities are really good for the whole body. Without biking and the elliptical, I couldn't be doing any of the crazy sruff we do in the winter. Not expensive either aftee the initial bike investment...I bought used and saved a ton. Got really hooked again riding our good light hybrids over at Kona.
