Lotus's Journal, 30 December 2007

Now that is a dissapointing sight. That is what letting yourself go looks like. Never again. NEVER AGAIN! I practically am where I started. I lost it fast, but I gained it back even faster. This can not happen again. I am going to weigh myself every single day from now on.

Diet Calendar Entry for 30 December 2007:
1197 kcal Fat: 41.95g | Prot: 77.40g | Carb: 167.25g.   Breakfast: 2% sharp cheese slice, egg white, egg, turkey sausage. Lunch: milk, All Bran Cereal, apple, cheese stick, string, reduced fat, unsweeted soy milk 1/2 cup. Snacks/Other:  No sugar added Fudgsicle, 1 piece, Sweet Freedom black raspberry ice cream bar. more...

I'll bet that's mostly water Lotus. If you pull yourself together and reign in those uncontrollable desires, you should be back to where you were in a couple of days. One bad patch does not a diet break. :-)

There are bound to be ups, downs and plateaus along the way - it is how you react to those situations that will determine your success. It sounds like you are very determined again to tackle the situation - you have still made progress towards your goal as you are not back to your original starting point - it will only get better from here! :) Hang in there and have a Happy New Year!

It's ok...you're focused again and you'll take off those lbs. just like you did before...hang in there...and like we talked about before we all have the 'not so good days'...let's all get back at it :o) Happy New Year to you!!

I agree with 4thehalibut-"how you react to those situations will determine your success." You can't get disgusted with yourself, and go all negative, for you now know you are capable of losing nicely on this diet if you stick to it. Soooo you will stick to it and lose nicely-----

I bet you will drop a couple of lbs in the next day or so. Sometimes when I weight myself the day after over eating the scale shows that I have gained about three lbs., but a day or two later I am back down. Just stay motivated and you'll be back down in no time!

Go easy on yourself. Body weight fluctuates throughout the day so don't let the number on the scale ruin your day or your goals. When you find a drawback, it's better to plan on how to quickly recover than to beat yourself up over it.

agree with whats been said. Wanted to add that weighing every day is great for SOME people but bad for others. Some people become so obsessed with the scale numbers that it can lead them into eating disorders. Me.. I weigh every day but I'm not upset if I see the number go upward.. it does go upward, darn evil scale and weight flucuations that eveyone has. But if you can use the scale as a device to help you make better choices and stay on track, thats great. If you become too obsessed that you eat poorly and suffer malnutrition thats bad. You are the only one that can decide if weighing every day is good or bad for you. It's good for me and keeps me on track. Just don't get so upset with yourself if you see the scale move upward. It's by sheer luck weigh in days haven't caught me on a up day yet :) SO get back on your horse girl and get ready for the downhill ride! YIPPE KAI YEAHH!

Ok...i just have to say "ditto" along with everyone else...because I can't stop over here to see how you are doing, and then leave without you knowing I care! OH...I have words of wisdom all on my own! are you ready? It's Santa's fault! he didn't want to show favortism so he gave US ALL some extra pounds in our sock this year!! (COME ON! JOIN OUR HEALTH CLUB! IT'S NEVER TOO CROWDED AND THERE'S NEVER A DULL MOMENT!) lol

I know you already heard my sermon on weighing in every day when you're in the first few weeks of any new fitness plan (untill youre comfortable with your weight loss, however long that takes), so I wont bore you but yet remind you...it is the ONLY WAY YOU CATCH what is good for your body and what is bad for your body, before it gets to that point, and afterall, that is what we are all here for. Articles in every fitness magazine I have all recommend daily weigh ins, its the only way to know whats hurting or helping you before you get to frustrated and dont even know what exactly caused a hurt/gain. Youre on the right track again, but like my signature line says, you gotta keep moving and I KNOW you can do it. Live and learn and move forward. if anyone can do it, as quick as you had, you CAN do it! I love ya girl, now move on and just do it. I know you can, enough of the looking back, go forward now.
