322lbs today. Its a start. I know I'm not losing weight very fast but I wanted to start with eating serving size first. I know that was a big problem for me before starting this journal. Now I see what I'm eating and trying to toss in healthy foods as much as possible. Instead of eating girl scout cookies last night, I chose to eat ants on a log. A classic snack from my childhood (Celery, Peanut Butter, & Raisins). I wanted to start walking outside awhile ago but thanks to old man winter, I haven't been able to do that. I tore my ACL in my left knee back in 1997. Thats what happens when you're in 7th grade and playing tag in the dark! Anyway, walking is good for me, especially on my elliptical. Old man winter makes my knee throb so bad and even though I twisted it the other day, I was able to get up and keep walking. Thank you strength training! I can't wait until I can really put my sketcher shape ups to the test. Looks like Saturday will be the day! (Weather man better not change it lol)

Sounds like you're doing awesome. I think you're smart to take it one step at a time. That makes it much more likely that you will continue, really get accustomed to each change, and be successful for the long term. Let me know how those shape ups work out. I'm a little concerned they would irritate my lower back problems, but I do consider trying them sometimes. Nice job, keep up the good work! :)

Whoops I deleted my comment lol. Anyway, I love my shape-ups. I've been wearing them to work and they've helped with most of my knee pain. They've eased my mom's back pain too. Thank you for the encouragement, I appreciate it so much! =)

Yeah, your doing great. I think it is best to start with one thing at a time. I know I'm a junkaholic so I started with continuous exercise and trying to cut out or reduce the portion size of the junk food. So far it is working. I just don't want the scale to go up, as long as it is going down I'm happy. So don't get discouraged and just keep going.
