Carolyn Ray's Journal, 21 March 2012

Wednesday: Slept well, but slept in so late for work. Grandaughters chior qulaified for state championships. Yeah! I start my new position on monday so I am mad busy trying to tie up all the loose ends in my file maintenance position, So excited to start training on monday. Also excited about going to wicked on friday with my singing grandaughter. I didnt get to walk on the treadmill yesterday.. I need to do this earlly in the AM or It just dosent get done. By the time I get home at night my resolve is just paper thin and I have to be wary of not gorging myself with food, much less make myself get on that treadmill. So I am nice to myself and usually just eat dinner and read or watch a movie. I can tell I have lost weight in the way my body looks but I can also tell I have lost a lot of muscle..I will have to slowly start to get some back ..I think It will be eaiser when I start my night shift then I can work out in the AM, without distraction. (Hubby). Oh I forgot to say my other Grandaughter (7) has 5th disease, but will be fine in a few days apparently...I will have to think of something extra fun for her to do when she feels better... Grandson (who is 5) hit someone for not following the rules and stepping in and out of the (supposidly orderly) line. Nicky said hey you arent supposed to do that so stop it! and the other kid said make me! and he hit him in the stomach! Now nicky has to go on an awareness journey and complete tasks that demonstrate empathy, explaining why each time. this happens next week Spring break is next week. poor kid! In my day a swat and an evening without TV would have taken care of that!(new age parenting )This kind of blows my spring break plans for him. ( a day at the childrens museum and a day of trucking with my husband) Oh well, I hope everything works out for him.

Congratulations on the state championships and on staring your new position. I know you guys will enjoy Wicked so much. I'm with you about exercise. The morning is the best time for me to do it. Your grandchildren sound like the light of your life, which is as it should be. Have a great day.
