Falling asleep as I type this---- finals are totally wiping me out!! but i think im doing pretty well on them so Im satisfied!... As for my eating, not too bad either! I am having trouble recording my exact amount of carbs that im taking in, but I guess I just try to keep it low. however, when it comes to non starchy vegetables I cant really limit it. For example, I ate brussel sprouts but then found out that when eaten in abundance, they have a lot of carbs. However, going over my carbs with brussel sprouts has to be better than going over my carbs with oreos---right???

RIGHT! You'll get the hang of counting, eventually you'll just know when you look at a food how many carbs it has. LOL. If you have to go overboard, do it with veggies. At least they don't spike your blood sugar and most people don't get carb cravings if they overdo it on veggies. I have really had to start watching my portion sizes on non-leafy veggies, but it is worth it in the long run. Keep it up! :)

I like the new Steam Fresh single serving packs that you can get now. They help me a lot in portion control (because I have none otherwise).

What is portion control???? LOL... I haven't tried those Steam Fresh Singles... but that's a good idea since my hubby acts like a baby when I put vegies on his plate!!!

I've tried something like the steam fresh, but it was multiple servings. If you are short on time they are very handy. Now they make ziplock microwave bags for steaming too. (I'm not sure if they are actually ziplock brand, but you get the idea) You could prepare a few ahead of time with individual servings and leave them in your fridge until you are ready to cook them.
