Why is it that it is so hard for me to eat healthy? I want to be healthy with a nice fit body so I can really enjoy my days. But for some reason I insist on eating lots of chocolate and not paying attention to what is being put into my mouth. From a psychologically oriented friend of mine, he insists its two different reasons. 1. I don't want to grow up so eating that chocolate is a method of staying a child. 2. It is a method of keeping a cushion between me and the rest of the world. This gives me a viable excuse as to why things aren't working out in other aspects of my life.

I think both of these are very true. I usually eat to make myself feel better and I think my overweight figure is a good excuse as to why other things in life haven't worked out.

I am determined to change this. I am 32 years old and I am really quit ready to make things work out and have no reason or excuse for the negative. I think it is in our control.

Look at every day as a brand new day to start over again....don't dwell on the past. The weight loss journey is not an easy one, and is sooooo slow...but once the pounds stop dropping off, you'll have no idea how easy it seems then, and how addictive the conquering feeling is. Its literally one step at a time, one day at a time!!! So change your lifestyle, not just your diet....and don't even keep anything at home that will tempt you to dig into them. I find that helps me the most!!! Every now and again, especially when hormones are raging at a particular time of the month, then you can reward yourself with a small indulgence...which makes you feel that much prouder, and somehow seems so much more satisfying.
