graciepoo's Journal, 07 December 2007

Ok. confession time. I baked a red velvet cake yesterday for my mom-in-law's bday. I could not refrain from licking the cream cheese frosting off my hand and spoons and well, the beaters and the mixing bowl! BAD GIRL!! But dang it was so good!! I then ate a very thin slice of it after dinner. But I rode my bike extra fast for 30 minutes afterward. Oh, and did i forget to mention I had taco bell for lunch!! I sabatoged myself big time yesterday. But back on track today. I hate it when I do that. But I logged my cals on dailyplate and even picked the highest calorie red velvet cake on there, and my calorie intake was still only 1800. OH well. Today is a new day. Let's see if I can make it through another weekend without cheating.

I'm there with you on the weekend. Gotta do well this weekend! For whatever it's worth, I think all your diet buddies would like to see the before and after photos. It's always encouraging and fun to see the results. It's more tangible than the weight history chart.

You know you'll bounce right back, you always do! I "dream cheated" last night, had pancakes with syrup. My hubby asked, "Are you sure you want to eat that, you don't even like pancakes. I said, "YES I DO!" and get this, I don't even LIKE pancakes, never have. Woke up and felt guilty till I realized it was a dream! LOL Go get e'm Graciepoo!

I wish I had dreamed about the cake rather than eating it. I did make my husband the prettiest fluffiest pancakes for breakfast yesterday and didn't even take one bite. BTW, very funny luuvd, dream eating is the best!!

I'm with you on all this, Graciepoo. I think an occasional lapse/cheat is just inevitable after sticking with the diet this long and you shouldn't beat yourself up about it. Guilt is not your friend, just have a positive attitude about today and move on. I think you said something like that to me not long ago, and it's so true. :) You have the determination to do this.
