Hey!
No, that makes you a normal vegetarian. If you don't eat eggs and milk, you are called a vegan, and if you eat diary products but no eggs, its called lacto-vegetarian. (Actually I hate putting my eating habits into terms like that, but many people seem to want to discuss these things.)
I always get a weird feeling when eating meat too, but then I have never really had meat since I was born. But sometimes I think its just my conscience. Maybe thats why only you got food-poisoning.
Greetings,
Nathalia.

Ovo-vegetarian. :) Unless you have dairy as well, then that would be lacto(milk)-ovo(egg) vegetarian, which is what the vast majority of vegetarians are.

@/0: Ah, so it's about what I consume, not what I exclude. Ovo-vegetarian it is. Speaking of which, how's chicken going for you?

@oceanroses: It was slightly more than a feeling, lol. I won't elaborate. I think only I got foodpoisoning because only I handled the raw meat, which isn't unusual since my husband is omnivorous (I like saying that, makes him sound like a dinosaur) but I can't think of any other good reason.

It's chicken-y. I think I eat more eggs now than anything else really. Sometimes up to 4 a meal.

Eggs are unfertilized baby chickens, just DNA jelly-soup, thus I think it is perfectly acceptable to eat them as long as the chickens involved are free-range and treated with care. Ooh, and I like your link between omnivorous and dinosaur, ha-ha. Richard the Dinosaur!

I hope you didn't eat the raw-meat... that would account for the food-poisoning though. Maybe it was a mental-thing after all. And my admiration for being able to handle meat, despite being vegetarian. I think I would... well, lets not go into that as well.

I practically have a vegan library, and have been successful with a lot of recipes. Right now I barely have time to breathe, and being able to consume products with egg whites will make everything just a little simpler. I prepare four meals a day (two meals, two ways). It's just what I need to do right now.
