scarlett7d's Journal, 01 December 2007

Well we are in December.......how lovely. I am happy that I did not wait until January to try and lose weight. We will probably see a big membership increase then both at Weight Watchers (and other programs) as well as on the site here. But what is nice is that I am ahead of the game. So that being said - what will my new years resolution be? To maintain my loss? To exercise more? This is something to think about. I think that I am serious about this being my last time to gain the weight back as long as it is in my control. I intend to make lifetime and not ever, ever get over 10 pounds of my goal weight (which of course, I have not yet met). So I guess that is it - my resolution is to make lifetime at WW and maintain it! What is your new years resolution???

Mine is just to continue what I'm doing...eating right, exercising. I just did my first 5K (3-mile) run today and I did the whole run without stopping once. So I guess one of my resolutions will be to partcipate in more running events for charity in 2008.

That's a good resolution! I try and also make a resolution about something non-weight related. Like I'm going to tell my family I love them more, or be more understanding about things. Anyway, yes it's great you have a jump start on the year, keep up the positive attitude. :)

I always have the same tired new years resolution to lose weight but not this year! It is more something I resolve to do every day. This year my resolution is to get my driver's lisence renewed..it's been expired since I had my 21st birthday! (august 5th of '03) And that's even more depressing than the extra weight! LOL

Yeah by making the lifestyle change now, before New Year Eve, means that those resolutions are going to be a lot easier to keep. Mine would be to seriously think about my career and to dedicate time to it. I need to sort my money out and to use this time (I will be graduating in June) to ensure that I have a more comfortable life. Great Journal. :)

I too am glad I started before the new year(I can only imagine how many more lbs I'd pack on with the holiday goodies that are all over the place). My resolution is to focus on my weightloss and get healthy! I feel like I've been wasting time. As a Mom, I tend to worry about everyone else and forget about me sometimes and I want to be healthy for my family.

My new years resolutions is to keep doing what ever I am doing to achieve my weight loss and stick to my resolution this year (never stuck to my resolutions before) and hopefully reach my goal weight by May 16 which is my birthday. I guess I am the one giving the birthday gift this year. ha ha
