I'm having issues. :(

I've been using my new road bike quite a bit. I actually purchased a fancy fluid trainer that has technology to monitor my speed, distance, heartrate, etc. I have cycling shorts. Last Sunday I did my first group ride....about 12 miles. And I've been riding 20-30 min every other day. But, my butt and lady bits are seriously disrupted. I keep thinking that it will get better. I did raise my seat a few inches which has helped the sit bones some, but it seemed to shift pressure to well...front and center.

Is there a bike shop near you? They may be able to suggest a new seat for you.

I just got off the phone with them. They're advice: Ride more & you will toughen your butt up, then, if that don't work come see us to talk about getting a different saddle.

i had this issue too at first. I use to hockeystrap a pillow to my seat! i kid you not. My comfort was more important than the laughs it got. Anyway, eventually my butt toughened up =) Nothing wrong in looking for a different seat, its probably safer than the pillow idea hehe

You may want to get a fitting done other than that your butt will toughen up with use
